There's no doubt, Cardiographic is a modern classic of stage, parlor, and comedy magic. It's been performed by the biggest names in magic, and even featured in TV specials. Here's the effect:

A card is selected by an audience member, and the magician attempts to read their mind by drawing the card on a sketch pad. Unfortunately, the magician guesses the wrong card. In a sarcastic effort to cover their blunder, the magician fills in depth so that the card they drew comes to the face card of the deck, and therefore the spectator's selection is in the middle of the deck. Then the amazement begins: the spectator names their card, and the drawing animates, and the selected card rises out of the drawing, stopping halfway out of the deck. The sheet of paper can be ripped off and given away as a souvenir!

For years, the only drawback to this effect was the reset time required. Because the magician has to draw in permanent marker on the gimmicked page every time, a new gimmick and a new give-away page had to be constructed for every performance. If you're doing shows back to back, or if you simply lack the patience or diy skills, this can be a major problem. Martin Lewis's first solution was Cardiographic Lite: in this version, the audience never sees you draw the image, so you can reuse the same gimmick every time, and just substitute in a new give-away sheet (don't worry, refills are available for those so you don't have to draw the image every time). While Cardiographic Lite is good for some performers, much of the comedy is lost if the audience doesn't see you get the card wrong and then try to fix it. Morever, the magical effect is strongest if the audience sees you make the drawing on the paper, instead of just coming out with something pre-drawn that could have been set up.
